The experience
Astounding, in the ordinary hours.
The host
Hosted by Jeevan.
Guests write that the hosts went out of their way. That the parents are the sweetest. That breakfast was worth the trip.
Empra Exotica is not a hotel with a garden. The family lives on the ground floor. The homestay occupies the first — a lounge with sofa and dining table, three rooms, and balconies that share the same green. Breakfast is vegetarian and complimentary. Advice for Raja Seat, Abbey Falls, and the coffee estates is given over tea. Transport can be arranged.
Guests of the homestay
They came. They stood on the balcony.

At the homestay
The garden, the wooden window, the anthuriums — a stay that begins at the door.

On the balcony
Glass rail, timber floor, and the hills of Madikeri opening beyond.

The table
Breakfast is a promise.
Complimentary vegetarian breakfast — dosa, fruit, tea, Coorg coffee — in the lounge, in your room, or on the balcony.

In the homestay
The practical poetry.
Complimentary breakfast
Vegetarian, served with tea or Coorg coffee. Masala dosa when the morning is in the mood — and it often is.
Breakfast where you want it
In the lounge, in your room, or on the balcony. Vegetarian, with tea or Coorg coffee.
Coffee in the backyard
A small plantation behind the homestay. In season you can watch cherries harvested and dried in the sun.
Sun terrace & garden
Outdoor seating, plants, and the slow weather of the Ghats. A place to do nothing well.
Shared lounge
Sofa, dining table, television, foosball. The first-floor common room — open to guests of the homestay.
Free parking & Wi-Fi
Private on-site parking and wireless throughout the public rooms. Forty metres from the main road — then the quiet begins.
Sun terrace · garden · lounge · indoor play area · games room · free private parking · free Wi-Fi · private check-in.
